The South Downs is a striking range of chalk hills and a protected South Downs National Park stretching 100 miles across South East England from Winchester to Beachy Head near Eastbourne. It features iconic rolling hills, dramatic white chalk sea cliffs, rich wildlife habitats, and deep dry valleys like Devil’s Dyke.
The aim of this animation we produced was to help explain the South Downs National Park Authority. Firstly, how it is run and what its role is, working alongside the South Downs National Park Trust, which is separate from the authority and is an independent charity that sources and funds projects.
We used their original branding for the South Downs as a base to create new landscape scenes and characters, so they all worked in harmony together. The South Downs has breathtaking views and beautiful countryside, and being on our back doorstep, this project was a joy to be part of.
